Damn. I think developer unlock is like rooting it which is probably a bad idea. It also says "Update since March the only way to use Snapchat is to download Specter" and Specter doesn't exist anymore as an app
But it's no probs I will use my tablet.

Yeah the windows Snapchat workarounds are being quickly shut down. It's safe to say that even if you root your phone and find a workaround, Snapchat will shut it down within days.
I've only had one foray into the world of Windows phones; my mom had a Nokia Lumia. It was a sufficiently awful experience for me to help her with things that I will avoid them forever. Also, as we all know, I'm a shill for the Googs.

Why does snapchat hate windows?
It's probably not worth making a compatible app. Windows phones are such a small portion of the market, and probably the demographics of Windows phone users probably doesn't make it a worthwhile venture.
