Awesome!  I was 11 Bang Bang at Fort Drum around... '96-'99.  1/87th Infantry, Alpha Gators

Y'all will have to translate that for us furrigners who've only done alternative civil service.
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

11 Bang Bang is slang for the designator for Infantry, 11B.

1/87th Infantry is 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, a part of the 10th Mountain Infantry Division at Fort Drum, New York.  Alpha Company is nicknamed the Gators.

The order of units, from low to high, in the U.S. Army Infantry:

Team (3-5 soldiers)
Squad (two teams)
Platoon (3-4 squads)
Company (3-4 platoons)
Battalion (4 companies)
Brigade (4 Battalions)
Division (multiple brigades with various other battalions and companies in supporting roles)

the 87th Regiment part is a historical reference given to most units. Different units have different historical unit references (not all 87th).

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Forgive my flyboy dumbass, but where does a regiment sit in that table of order? Between a batallion and a brigade, right?
