This isnt some parody or joke. This is the REAL THING. These people make pamplets on how to disrupt biology class with unending questions, they make and advertise books that proclaim creationism as science, and they have a monthly magazine

Creation retards Wrote:So we are beginning a brand new campaign at the Creation Studies Institute. We are calling on all of our supporters to join our “Adopt an Atheist Prayer Movement” by praying for the salvation of these men and women.

Sam Harris
Richard Dawkins
Michael Shermer
P.Z. Myers
Christopher Hitchens
George Clooney
Dave Silverman
Stephen Hawking

So they've found another way to waste their time? Excellent, that means they're spending less of it bothering people in meaningful way.

This from the entry on Dawkins....

I didnt mean "Sae" creeped out, I meant "Freaky fundy" creeped out.

Freaky fundy's have always had that aura of "I can snap at any minute and become extremely violent" that makes me kee an eye on them.

You should start a website called, "Adopt a fundie idiot." Have adoptive visitors message these people incessantly with prayer requests. Make a list of example prayer requests, such as "I am an atheist. Could you please pray that my dog comes back from the dead? I really miss him." Then, post all the contact information for as many ridiculous internet folk that pray for atheists as you can. That ought to keep them busy.

Quote:So should we, like Hawking, reject Newton’s God? It is evident from Hawking’s own statements that he is completely willing to embrace Newton’s theories of science, but he rejects Newton’s conclusions concerning matters of faith. When you get right down to it, quantum mechanics is some ways is akin to biblical faith. It operates in the realm of the unseen. It assumes things to be true that it cannot observe with the naked eye. Quantum mechanics, like faith, is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, Heb. 11:1.

He just compared Quantum mechanics to the Christian faith.

So are Bacteria, Viruses and Fungi...So 'faith' is the desire to be sick?? This is also biblical faith?? Or are they just cherry picking again??

He will ignore the inconvenient fact that Q.M makes testable predictions but christianity doesn't.
