Had a pretty enjoyable day out with the wife, pretty much entirely to spite certain people over yesterday. First time I've ever really had a lunch date out of spite, but it turned out nice!
... It's hard not to be happy with an Oreo milkshake though, to be fair.

Enjoying the shit out of the new season of Big Brother.
This motherfucker Jozea is the most delusional person that's ever been on television. His eviction tomorrow will be fucking brilliant.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I always enjoy Big Brother. It's fun watching cretins and wishing the least cretinous (and sometimes even vaguely nice and intelligent) one to stay while feeling certain people just HAVE to go.

Surprised to happen upon a show called Last Call with Carson Daly. Couldn't believe this guy was still on TV.
Apparently he's done a lot of producing and stuff. Still don't know why that warrants him having his own show.
I bought two doves today.
My daughter has named them Ella and Dave. They're in a cage next to my two budgies, Bluey and Blondie, who have been going apeshit about it all afternoon. They make a lot of racket and one of the doves will flap its wings and they shit their pants. It's quite funny. I hope they get used to each other. In Dec I'll be putting them all together in the big cage and giving the little cage to the new baby cockatiel that will be my daughter's birthday present. :-)
2016 strikes again - Alvin Toffler dies at 87.
I remember reading his book "The Third Wave", around the year 2000... and thinking... damn, when did this guy write this?! last year?! Nope... first published in 1980 - quite a work of future prediction! |
