Would Bernie's endorsement have any effect on Clinton's voters in the first place? Or is this a strictly, pure positive for Clinton? From what I've read on the Sanders subreddit, a lot of people are annoyed because (a) he said he'd stay in the race until the convention, and (b) only last week he was asking for donations to send his delegates to the convention when they couldn't pay for the tickets themselves. I'd imagine this will split the supporters down the middle, but I doubt many will vote for Trump in retaliation. They are more likely to just not vote for either candidate, or vote third party.
Certainly does nothing to help the downballot elections.

What I am seeing (and this doesn't really mean a lot without stats for everyone instead of just who I have seen) are republicans who hate Trump saying they'll vote Clinton but most Democrats who hate Clinton are saying they'll vote third party. The last I checked Clinton is still winning in the polls. RE: Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton for President

If they are in a red or blue state, the effect will likely be less helpful (because Trump will win / lose those states regardless). RE: Bernie Sanders endorses Hillary Clinton for President
