I'm a lesbian, and you won't get one of those disgusting things anywhere near me.  However, I have a few friends who enjoy "toys".  Some of them are bi, some are lesbian . . . to each their own.

I am going to go out on a limb here and guess it's because they don't believe in the ridiculous notion that a woman has to a) be skinny or feminine to be beautiful and/or b) be beautiful at all.

If you're attracted to women and you're a woman then you're a lesbian. There's no qualifier that the women you fall in love with or choose to have relations with have to be "pretty".

A guess of mine which I pretty much said earlier is that I think a lot of the basis of ideas and psychology rather than just physical reality.

I wouldn't want to have sex with a transsexual even if for all intents and purposes that person is a woman.

A lesbian might enjoy a lot of attributes that are considered manly while still being against the very idea and notion of having sex with a man.

I get the root of confusion though, a woman saying "I find women attractive" (goes out and picks a woman who looks like Mike Tyson)

I work with a few lesbians and I always chat to one about good looking girls but her girlfriend looks nothing like the girls we chat about so I don't really fully get it but whatever floats her boat.

I don't think anyone is suggesting to put restrictions on who or how people have sex but questioning the psychology behind sexual interactions.
