I think it's annoying seeing 10 different, say, "what are you listening to" threads, but x-treme necro is annoying, too. Can't really say why.

Yeah, necros are handy for keeping trains of thought from splattering all around the forum. I should think that allowing necros would be more cost-effective, in terms of not requiring so much storage.
