I've heard typically recipients do pretty well as the new kidney is fixing problems in their bodies. I've also heard the donors typically are less speedy in bouncing back since their bodies don't recognize anything being repaired, rather, instead a big wound that needs healed.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

That's great news, Aegon! Glad to hear it. Hope your donor is doing well, too. Best wishes to both of you.

Unfortunately I'm on a liquid only diet today. I believe I've overdosed on jello.

an indelicate question I suppose, but do the doctors have to watch your first non-cath'd pee to make sure everything is working ??
I'm gonna have the cath in until the day I leave. But I'm making a ton of urine

Are the docs telling you that all systems are a go, no hiccups or glitches?

Yep. Creatine has gone down from 11 to 3.5 to 2.6 (as of 4 hours ago), my BP is consistently in the 120/80 range without any BP meds, my cath bag is filling up fast, lungs are clear.... my heart, as I told you, is its own issue but if my hypertension is eliminated then it won't be a very big deal. Beating fine now.

Fuck yeah Egg. Great fucking news, my man!
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great
