I've seen people who I think should know better just disrespect you to your face, and you just take it. I finally got brave and asked Jeff (who's as rude as anyone to you) what's up with your status.

He laughed and said, let me tell you about that guy. No ambition to make anything out of himself beyond finding and wooing a rich farmers widow and getting his meal ticket punched. And then after he gets the object of his desire, he proceeds to live the good life on her nickel, and all the while pretending to be the best damn husband in town.

Except when he's chasing every pretty young thing wearing a skirt.

And he'll ply them with gifts (bought with wife's money) and sweet talk his way into their panties.

And that's why everybody hates that sonofabitch.
