Take a stab in the dark.. a moment ago you were sure that what was happening had something to do with some faceless mass being intolerant of differing views. That's not the case. We're very tolerant of each others differing views. So, what else might account for the reception you got...and how might we move forward from any misperceptions of each other knowing whatever that is?

Oh, cmon, don't start again, we were doing well. Weren't your "points" clear? Seemed crystal clear from here, just wrong and stereotypical of batshit christer trolls, lol. Pretty sure I've been -tediously- clear as well.

So......again, introspection time, do you think that maybe, just maybe, the above wasn't a good approach, if engagement was the goal?

I could quote you, but there isn't any need..since your posts conveniently exist in this thread. Do you, for example, actually believe that you were shunned for your difference of opinion on the god issue, or that this is somehow tangentially related to the dnc?

I never tried to "engage" you.

Where did they "go"? Do you think I have a camp? If I did, about 90% of these atheists wouldn't belong to it...lol - nor would you/SAF. Who -did- you/SAF try to engage...and how? Anyone?

Look, I am not here to discuss the DNC/RNC, all I did was make a joke about the DNC, and I NEVER called you a dem. I actually didn't think you were when I made that joke. I am not saying I was shunned, I said that because, at least in New York, of you aren't an atheist/agno, you aren't human. You should have seen my bio class, half the year everyone made fun of me for being a theist.

None of it matters much to me. I don;t give the slightest of shits about what people believe, only how those beliefs lead to action...and what action those beliefs lead to. As far as I;m concerned, peoples "beliefs" in external gods are little more than a front for their own internal motivations.

Here is directly what would happen
I would start things, I never came out with batons making a big fuss about how I am religious, then when the teacher would say the word "evolution" everyone would look at me. Someone behind me yells "God isn't real!" out of nowhere, and even my technology teacher yelled at me for talking to the person next to me, saying that I don't believe in evolution. Say I am lying all you want, but I know that these are experiences in my life that are true.
