It's been acting up of late. Tuesday night I lay awake six hours with stomach troubles. I thought sure I had a ruptured appendix or something.
Go to the doctor! I had a really bad bellyache in '74, and waited until the next day to go to the doctor. He told me that my appendix had ruptured, but since I hadn't died during the night, they would let my body clean up the mess. True story. I've had two surgeries (after the first one, to remove that nasty mess) and 3 other hospitalizations since then, due to complications from that ruptured appendix.
I'm currently finalizing the cuts in the wood I'm using to build a chest for my carving tools. I have one that I already made, but it's bigger than I need for what I want to carry to my carving class. Wood carvers generally used canvas roll-up pouches, back in the day when they were itinerant and went from town to town and carved wood for room and board. I pay for my own room and board (in fact, I own the place), so I'm not exactly itinerant.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Good lord, it's like I'm fifteen again in Hicksville, CenCal, listening to KZOZ out of SLO ... "I am the hungry wolf ..."
I'm not a big punk fan, but they weren't really punk -- they were just ass-kickin'.
I haven't read through the thread -- I hope it's not a bout of appendicitis.

I just made some headway in a proof from one of my math books, which asked the reader to show that the curve x^2+y^2 - 3=0 has no rational points.
P.S. A rational function f(x,y) has a rational point if there are real numbers xo and yo such that f(xo,yo)=0

Bad stomach ache is a routine thing for me and has been since I was about 17 (so, nearly 12 years). Then again, I never get headaches ever (when I'm sober).

Went to the school fete today. All the aboriginal kids got up and did a corroboree, which was great.
My girl's class got up and sang 'Click goes the Shears' and 'Waltzing Matilda'. So cute.
Lots of yummy mummies about, got a slight case of whiplash eyeballs.
Munched out on snag sangers for lunch.
Bought a couple of nice succulents I don't have yet.
Got a little sunburnt, winter's over.
Had a good day. :-)

@Jorm - I hope you feel better.
I'm just waiting for my kid to call me to pick him up after a road football game.

First day of spending the week in Wales, Aberystwyth to be precise. On my own, obviously. Checked into the guest house about an hour ago. I just need that sea and sand. Amongst other things.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Brushing sawdust out of my hair. I was out in the back yard with a chop saw, cutting up some old wood for disposal.
Trying to talk myself into either doing some more work on my 2nd floor renovation project, or going out in the garden to pull weeds. Both need to be done, but it's a long weekend and I'm not in a hurry to start on either one.

Watching some random football game. NCAA season is here.
Also, getting grumpy at Southwest for serving Ft. Lauderdale but not Miami. What the actual?
