Watching Harvey Recovery Done Quick, a 3 day marathon hastily put together by the Games Done Quick folks to benefit the Houston Food Bank in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
It's on Twitch, and in just over 24 hours they've raised nearly $110,000. I gave 'em $10. And unlike #45, these guys actually follow through with their donations (they've had a multiple year long relationship with Doctors Without Borders, raising millions for them every year).
If you're a video game nerd like me, or want to donate to a cause that will help feed people displaced by the hurricane (every $1 = 3 meals), then go to: gamesdonequick.com

I think I just put my hip out a bit, chasing that fucking ginger cat that keeps harassing my cat.
It's as big as a medium size dog and fucking vicious.
I'm gonna have to go and get a trap from the council.
I didn't want to do it, because they'll probably put it down when I take it in, presuming I catch it, but I gotta protect my cat and this his been going on for years now.

Reading about Trump aide Keith Schiller's departure from the WH. Also, waiting for NK's announcement on the test, on CNN.

Catching the bus to Manchester, saving money on parking and petrol.
Someone who I suspect is a 40 year old man dressed as a female prostitute with a wig got on the bus giving me a bit too much eye contact. Better just look at my phone or out the window.
I found out the tattoo I'm getting won't be that expensive but the tattooist is in such demand I won't get an appointment until December.
Also listening to the weeknd still.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.

Just watched Peter Gabriel live (youtube). I almost forgot about "Games without frontiers". Nice memories of my youth.

Games without frontiers?... I remember that, too... Portugal nearly won a bunch of those things... Nearly!
I'm at the airport, again... Back to work, tomorrow.

for shoulder pain. Anyhow nothing major on the xray, and just keep on with aspirin/Tylenol. They did find some early arthritis, but I'm thinking maybe not enough to explain the pain.
To facilitate diagnosing, I went without any aspirin today, yoiks!! Didn't realize how well that was working on this problem till I went several hours without. Shoulder lit up like a mother fucker, Jesus !
Anyhow, give it 2-3 weeks, unless it changes significantly. Might try a cortisone injection. Erf. Dad had that back in the day, wasn't too much fun. Had an uncle get cortisone in knee as I recall, again, not much fun.
wunnerfull . . .

This is the first time in more than 12 years I'm having a period unrestrained by birth control and
it's.
fucking.
awful.
I'm remembering all the reasons why I went on birth control in the first place and am hating that fucking cancer has forced me to go off of it and that this "menopause-inducing" medication they have me on now hasn't kicked in.
Do you think I could ask the docs to remove my uterus while they remove my boobs? I'll pay out of pocket for it. Seriously. If I've got another 20-30 years of this ahead of me then take that fucking organ out of me, I'm not using it anyway and it's only making me miserable. Make it part of the first uterus transplant. Give it to someone who wants a kid or is one of those freaks who likes having a period because it reminds them that they're a woman. Bullshit. I have two X chromosomes, that's more than enough for me.

I had an ablation done. Best. Thing. Ever. Mine were heavy enough that I was clotting golf balls at a rate of 1-2 per hour and they were affecting my ability to go to school. So the ablation worked and I got to keep all my lady bits. It's literally a five minute procedure they can do in the office with some twilight-inducing anesthesia. Now I don't get a period at all - even after two years. It's great.
