Oh wait, they thought the sun was a little ball of fire that traveled in the atmosphere between the land, and the supposed layer of water. You see the problem with believing there was liquid water up in orbit?

There are people even now that don't make it past their 70's which in noway means that people don't live to be 100+.

Well, technically there is a layer of water surrounding the Earth but we don't normally see it or experience its wetness.  It's the atmosphere. You can extract water from it by using a simple room dehumidifier.
