What would you do if you woke up one day to find you were the last person alive?

No sign that they had died, no sign that they had even existed. All you had was memories and their possessions and food and water they left behind.

P.S. no animals either. Just you and the fruit, plants and mushrooms. What next?

Reconcile the two highlighted parts.

I hate to break this to you, but...

Without my meds I would mentally deterioate. I doubt I'd be able to sleep. I would probably go insane regardless due to even more loneliness and isolation than usual. I don't know if I would kill myself. I'm aware that most methods of suicide actually take a relatively long amount of time and are excruciatingly painful/uncomfortable.

With an empty world there wouldn't be anything satisfying to do. Assuming I have electricity even making music would be somewhat unsatisfying with no one else to hear it.

The only thing I could think of to do would be explore. Hopefully I don't crash a car as I only have a little experience driving.

If all animal life is gone, garden's a waste of tmie. No pollinators.

Corn pollinates itself . . .

I always wanted to travel the whole world, I'll probably borrow a DSLR and travel the whole world. Click beautiful pictures on the way, examine the remains of what used to be remarkable cultures. Learn how to farm, build a house from scratch near a river, frame the pictures I clicked and hang it around my house, hang pictures of all my friends and family, I'll reflect on my own life about how pointless it was chasing after material things and money. I will keep myself busy taking care of my farming. I will build different structures and basically create a small town. I'll write my whole story and keep it safe inside my home. When my time comes I'll die of old age sipping a strong coffee leaning back on my chair and the last thing I'll see will be a beautiful sunset.

I'd avoid the Burgess Meredith scenario.

What if your time comes with a heart attack brought on by a thunder clap during a dirty storm night?

They're all off the road. But there is a nearby garage that is gigantic and has one of every single type of car you would ever wish for Tongue

I guess the idea is... imagine the best possible world.... except there's no people or animals besides yourself. A luxurious but empty world.

(writes "invent nano-bees" on to-do list)

In a very slightly related manner, our house has been beset by a Small Infestation of Cute Insects.  Ladybugs have decided they like it indoors because it's warmer than in the garden, and in fact one of them just wandered east across my keyboard, had a short sojourn on the mouse, and then wandered off.

Either way, this next song goes out to Astreja (sorry, no clarinets):

Are insects considered animals?
