I completed South Park: The Fractured But Whole. It was just as awesome as South Park: The Stick of Truth was.

And once I got into it, I think the gameplay I actually preferred.

I've been playing Fantasy Strike lately and it kicks fucking ass.

I'm doing yet another playthrough of TES5 (modded), but to make it more interesting, I'm starting on legendary difficulty with some restrictions -

Have to play within character - that is, an evil necromancer with a penchant for burglary, homicide, bone collecting, and animated skeletons (thanks to the Ordinator and mod).

Smithing is verboten (even for follower's gear), enchanting and alchemy are OK.

No weapons.
No armor.
No going to jail.
No paying fines.
No questing, unless it fits character.

TBH, the Ordinator mod makes conjuration uber OP, which is why I'm putting so many limitations on what I can do.

Ocassionally playing Breath of the Wild. It's fun -- but really hard to make progress sometimes and does't feel worth it. I mean there are things I really like about BOTW, but spending time searching for shrines, only to never find them is a waste of time when my gaming time is pretty limited as it is.

Just started Xenoblade Chronicles 2.  The Kotaku review is about 60%-70% full of shit.

I'm about 40 hours in, in Chapter 6.

There are three flaws with this game:

The map is garbage.
There's no Collectipedia (a thing from the previous games) to tell you where you found field items.
Character designs range from mediocre to stupid/embarrassing. They had guest celebrity artists design the characters (a different artist for the 22 or so unique characters you can get), so there's no unifying style.

I'm loving the rest of it. There's a lot of heart and charm with the characters, and the gameplay is solid. Combat is very deep, and each encounter feels meaty (assuming you're in the same level range of what you're fighting. And no series does epic scale like Xenoblade. A lot of the areas are simply vast. And imaginative.

Nearly a year ago I was forcing myself to play through Final Fantasy XV because it was a gift. I hated that game. Xenoblade 2 is the palette cleanser I needed.
