its seems to be a social club & just like all the theist forums
ie they assume righteousness & we have to play debunk & defend 24/7

shouldn't we be the default & they have to prove every claim they make with evidence* ?


*the bible isn't evidence & should not be quoted for or against anything as its utter fiction#

I DO NOT hate my fellow humans. I love my mom and she was my biggest supporter, but just like religion, if she went around every day claiming, "The New England Patriots beat the Houston Astros in the Stanley Cup" every single day, I'd still love her, but the claim would still drive me nuts.

But no, if theists or even atheists think I should shut up when religion is used to justify bigotry/xenophobia/homophobia/science denial,  or violence, no, I will not be quiet and will not be polite about it. If our species never questioned social norms we would not have our modern pluralistic west.

Do you care about changing Theist minds?  Or are you only interested in insulting them?  If you care about changing their minds, or highlighting logical fallacies, then you have to actually talk to them, buddy.  Did it ever occur to you that a Theist might be here because they are having doubts?  You miss an opportunity to actually exchange ideas with an open minded person if you just say to them, "your Bible is garbage, STFU."  And believe me; that gets said around here plenty to our resident theists who have already proven themselves time and again not interested in listening.  

You asked what the purpose of the forum is.  I ask you; for what purpose do you debate theists?  Why do you do it?  If you just like putting people down for the fun of it...then you're simply an asshole of a person, lol.

Chorlton, why don't you try lurking for a few days before signing up at a new forum? It can save you a lot of disappointment and frustration.

There's a darned good reason I only have about half a dozen forums bookmarked, including a couple that have nothing to do with atheism. One size definitely does not fit all.
