This is Trump we're talking about. He doesn't admit to *any* kind of perceived weakness. Having dentures in his mind would make him perceived as old and weak. I bet if asked he'd claim he has had minimal work done to his teeth, when clearly they are all veneers or perhaps fake.

I get that, I am saying based on that one video, I wouldn't chalk it up to that. Yes, my mom HAS slurred because of her dentures. But she has also slurred because of UTIs and strokes which look exactly the same. 

And as you said, vanity, which my mom also worried about image and didn't want lose control over her decision making too.. 

45 is displaying problems far worse than "loose dentures".

I agree, but he diagnosed himself. 

I bring up UTIs and strokes having WITNESSED THEM in my mother, and they can and do produce the same slurred speech as if your dentures suddenly come loose.

Seriously, I hate the fucker as everyone knows, but outside that, if I were his family and did love him, they should be worried about his health, even outside this one video. 

My mom did and said lots of questionable things when not in her right mind. I am not posting this for him outside of pointing out that a president as far as health should be far more scrutinized than a no name. I've seen this before, and it can look like mundane stuff and be very serious.

My mom also chalked up serious stuff to the mundane, only to have her call me to take her to the doctor or hospital.

I think it is far more important in his case since he has  control over our military and our nukes. 

He talks gibberish all the time, his slurred speech does not help. My mom has slurred her speech as well, but while I love her, she was not president in control over our military or nukes either.

In all seriousness, I think that people seek these explanations out as a sort of public exorcism and amelioration.  We've done the same countless times for officials (and their voters).  Referencing imaginary conditions and greivances rather than face the obvious truth.

The guys a hot mess.  He doesn't have to be sick to be a hot mess....even though it would soothe our national conscience if he were. The same can be said for his supporters. They're a hot mess, not "economically anxious".

No no no no, this isn't that one bit. He really has had mental issues his entire life. I do however think age really is compounding his dad abusing him when he grew up.

I would agree that even prior to his win, the GOP has been very effective since Reagan in using words like "commie" and "godless" to exploit the economically anxious". But 45 is worse, he has done that as well, but compounded the prior with political scapegoating and vilification on top of his own mental and physical problems, and this is far different than the politics prior.

45 is unpredictable and incoherent.

They're bigots.  They've been exploiting bigots.  It's a black mark on our government and we seek to reduce that pain (even when we manage to acknowledge their bigotry) by diluting the offense with "economic anxieties" and mental deficiencies of various bigots and bigot exploiters.  Meanwhile, they have no trouble predicting or understanding each other. The difference is in intensity and in it's overt expression, but not in substance.

I was intubated during a 'nearly' outpatient procedure Monday and I'm still having trouble talking and swallowing today.  Not defending Trumply, but he's talkin' better than I am. LOl.  (am I wishing it on him?  mebbee a lil' bit) (show of hands, who wants to see him intubated?)

I also had a weird reaction to the procedure too and had a real rough go till yesterday.  Blech and blech !!

Why do you think the context is longer? It's probably not. I have a very big, poor family. Those of the older generation who have teeth at all have fake teeth.

If if was his dentures, why not admit to that? He was the one chalking it up to dry throat.

Maybe, but it feels like you've come to that conclusion because of your dislike for him. You have to admit, you can't be sure at all why he was all fucked up during that speech. The only thing we can say for certain is that dry throats don't make your teeth fall out or cause strokes.
