CL's "Civility subforum" suggestion.

CL's "Civility subforum" suggestion.
Nothing should be changed.

Yes, CL, I understand your position.  However, you're expecting the forum to change on an unnecessary basis.

Do theistic forums change for atheistic members who are behaving themselves?

Didn't think so.

The rules are simple here, however.

I've never broken them.

People who go overboard are removed, wouldn't you agree?

CL's point is that who can abide within the rules and still be a dick. That's what she's trying to avoid.

I certainly try my best to not be a dick. I think.

I don’t understand...you made a thread to discuss a thread that’s already open for discussion?

I'm honestly not certain.

Nothing would "change." It would just be an added section that didn't exist before. It would be there for the people who want to use it. Those who don't want to use it, need not use it. No harm, no foul.

Anyway, it was merely a suggestion. That's what the Suggestion Forum is for, as far as I'm aware.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Deb, in all honesty ... You know what we're like...
Sure you can have a civil thread section.

You know what's gonna happen real quick.
Someone will just start a comments thread about "that" thread (Probably Kit!) and the onslaught will continue as per normal.

I don't think you're accomplishing much imho...

Pick a person and have a pm session with them Dunno

As atheists, we can be civil. We don't need to swear or use adhoms, but you will still find our logic insulting ...
I think it's part and parcel of being a theist. Dunno
