I've contracted Epic Woo-Woo a couple of times over the years.

In outbreak #1 in the late '70s /early '80s, I had a massive library of occult books.  Using primarily Golden Dawn tomes, I painstakingly created a talisman to ensure good seeing for the February 26, 1979 total solar eclipse.  The skies were awesomely clear at totality -- but we subsequently got six weeks of cloudy, drizzly weather.

In outbreak #2 in 1999, I passed survived (no, surviving the Test definitely counts as a pass) my Test and became a fer-realz Krynnish White Robe.    I also got interested in Norse mythology and got in touch with my inner Norse Goddess, and learned how to read Futhark runes.  I then proceeded to craft a magic ring that is +5 to reveal the truth about darn well anything.  Although I now identify as a Red Robe (with Lunitari's blessing), I still have the ring.  Be afraid.  Be very afraid.

I blame it all on pretty rocks, in particular a rounded piece of quartz that I bought at The Forks, a touristy collection of shops and restaurants that I occasionally frequent.  The last time I got deeply into the New Age juice was in the late '90s when I was struggling to stay sane and happy in the throes of a soon-to-be-as-dead-as-a-Norwegian-Blue marriage.  Among other things I was collecting semi-precious stones, resuming a hobby that I had had as a child, and this particular piece of quartz ended up travelling in my pants pocket more often than not.  I used it as a mental anchor, something to focus on when I felt overwhelmed.

One afternoon at work in my IT job, I was in the break room and had this piece of quartz in my hand and was meditating on it.  For some reason I started imagining that I was talking with O­ðinn (this was not long after I had started studying Scandinavian mythology), and "heard" the Allfather call me "uh stray' a."  Wot, I have a name to go with all my magical meanderings?  Kewl!

A bit of casual research into divine names came up with several possibilities.  Astarte didn't quite fit.  Astraea (the goddess better known as Virgo) was phonetically correct, and it's so nice of all those courthouses to put up statues of Her with scales and sword and blindfold.  However, I couldn't help but notice that the goddess variously known as Eostre and Ostara hadn't been heard from for a while, so I put an Icelandic/Old Norse spin on the spelling to get the name Astreja, and appointed Myself the goddess of the Vernal Equinox (but only in the Northern Hemisphere).  Later on, I added chocolate, punctuation, and Random Equipment Malfunctions to My divine dossier.

And I'm pretty sure that trouble-making piece of quartz is still somewhere in the house, probably in the bowl of shiny rocks in the living room.

Np, probably ought to add Drawing Down The Moon to the book list.  It;s more focused on contemporary paganism in the united states.  Margot Adler was an interesting character.

This is what the debate, was Mohammad a magician.  I think if you guys saw the miracles of Mohammad, you would not acknowledge the power of Mohammad as a proof that he was God's trustee, because you guys still laugh at the story of Jacob fighting an Angel to become God's strongest. You understand nothing really and can't distinguish between proof and sorcery.

In other words, they accused Mohammad as working for a rebel group of powerful magicians and people with knowledge, and that he was a sorcerer.

The talk of how Mohammad would know if he saw an Angel or was it deceiving Jinn is also a heavy topic. At the end, Quran centers around this dialogue a lot because at the end times, the final successor of Mohammad will have miracles and proofs, but sorcery will become known at that time, and we'll see if people mix it all up into one soup.

And the Quran turns the whole dialogue to show who truly is a deceiving leader with no proof (aka wiccan and religious leaders who talk about unseen from a far place with little knowledge and much conjecture).

And I don't like Ibn Arabi and Rumi because they took advantage of their knowledge and manipulated people away from the truth, as do all Sufi leaders.

Leadership is a trust from God, and we ought to center around those who God chose for himself.

They believe in channeling to gods/Angels/hidden spiritual guides, whatever they want to call them.  Either directly or reading from people who do.

This is a fact, whether, you admit or not.

A lot of it is channeling one’s one intentions. Purging your own negative thoughts and energies and seeking change. It’s not that different than prayer, except for many Wiccans, they might not be seeking help from a higher power. But some of the spells I’ve read specifically talk about deities, etc.

I am familiar with energies and telepathy type help as well.  There is unclean energy sources and clean holy sources, but if we are confused, we will see Angels and God's chosen trusted representatives as ugly and evil, and the misguided forces as good and benevolent.

And we may prefer the dark forces if they make us feel special like we been chosen by them and that we are reincarnation or chosen for a task by them.

The forces of the light on the other hand humble us, make us feel guilty, make us accountable, and the energy source is not as happy ya I am can and am everything sort of deal, but more on the end, I am no one compared to the chosen ones let alone God.

And it's a choice, we can go the humble path, or we can go on the path as if we are exalted like God's chosen, it's up to us.

Dangers lie ahead - in the unseen realms as do they in the manifest physical world. 

The truth of God's Name is distinct holy and everything helped by it,  is seen great in the eyes of those who look, regardless of people's viewpoints. 

But the envious convince themselves the light forces are harsh, judgmental etc, and in the unseen, Gabriel and Michael help lead the war against the dark forces, and in the seen world as well as the unseen,  the representative of God is the commander and chief.

This question, you may not know it, but it's the center of the battle between good and evil.

Trinity etc, that stuff is all child's play, the real question is who is really God's representative, is supposed to be an Angel, and if you choose the latter without proof but conjecture, you may end up as a close friend of the dark one, Iblis himself, thinking he is good.

And that is worse than indirect worship of Iblis, direct friendship, where he deceives you directly. And Jinn - most of them - trust Iblis over Gabriel and Michael because these two submit and prostrate to God's chosen representative.

These beings - many of them fallen Angels - think they are best fit for position, and Iblis deceives them, and put on a show that the exalted ones who are Yaseen and his family in this world (Mohammad and his daughter and successors), didn't know to the extent Iblis even tricked them to a deal to let him lead astray where as they didn't expect he would be successful.

All to display we are not fit to lead - we humans - they will cause chaos - and then their representatives will call out to them in the end of times, saying, there is no chosen from God, rather, the system chooses and that is God's choice...

And that no proof is required rather we ought to still listen to people babble about the unseen like they can guide us, even if no an iota of proof.

You are at the center of cross-roads.

It is the gathering of Jinn and humans - at the end - the wicca and new age or Neopaganism, and even Neo-Shamanism, all calls to.

There are many Wiccans who believe in the supernatural and invoke it into their rituals. Their ideas differ, and supernatural doesn’t always equate to deities.
