What truly turned me off to the idea was the bit about nuking someone else’s settlements.

“Alright, I’ve put 40 hours into the game so far and have some choice loot and a respectable homestead that generates a few caps... what’s that whistling sound?”

Agreed. Thay why I'm not playing the latest Elder Scrolls game.

Sell me a game and let me play it online, or give me a game and charge me a nominal fee to play it online. Doing both is just a money grab!

Bethesda has been especially bad about that, I remember the whole Creation Club cash grab. Mods are made for the community by passionate folk (most of the time), and they tried and failed to use it for some quick cash.

Edit: I’m not saying they’re as bad as EA, but I’m also not saying that if you put Todd Howard and Larry Probst in a room with a single dollar bill and two katanas, that a man wouldn’t die that day.
