It didn't help. Posts still get appended together. It just made the editor a WYSIWYG which I find more difficult to edit, so I reverted back to the source code.

Appending posts together is automatic behavior.  There is no way around that other than to wait for the two hour edit window to expire.  Sometimes a post gets split from the previous one if either is particularly long or will start a new page, but as far as I can see, that's unpredictable.

One can preferentially force source mode. In "User CP" go to "edit Options" and tick "Put the editor in source mode by default".

Weirdly, as a programmer, I don't have it ticked myself, too many wasted hours on UI considerations, I guess.

I'm here.  I look forward to finding old friends here and making new ones.  At least the format looks familiar, and I sure am glad to see so many familiar names.  Hopefully even more will follow as we learn to navigate from TTA to here.  I hope this place can handle our invasion of their space.  I can hardly stand the idea of how many at The Thinking Atheist won't get the word about the shut down since it's such short notice, and their first inkling will be trying to access a site that just won't be there any more.

Hi Outta.  Yeah, some people kinda pop in from time to time so they won't know what happened.  TTA just disappeared.   It would have been nice if Seth had given at least a couple weeks notice, like when you leave a job.  Well, whatever.  I'm sure there's a few more people who will wander over here.   I'm kinda shy so it will take a little while to get to know people here.  Gosh-golly-gee.       <-----that's my first smillie on this new forum.

I tried it out last year. Tartarus had referenced it many times in conversations, so I just wondered how the water was. AF was just fine (maybe they played a little rougher than we do on TTA), but overall, I just missed my TTA friends. I like having that established rapport with people, especially as a theist on an atheist forum.

I've grown quite a bit since then, though I don't often participate in atheism/theism debate threads anymore. I tend to mostly just socialize I guess. Occasionally I'll jump in on political stuff, too.

More about me- I'm an avid gamer, mostly Overwatch these days. I play on PC, NA servers. I've recently joined an Overwatch league team, and that's been fun, but exhausting.

Um... idk. I guess I do other things, too. I think. Come on, someone back me up on this! I don't want to look pathetic on my first day!
