Maybe you, alpha, and Neo, can help me out.  In my state of Minnesota, former Democratic U.S. senator Keith Ellison is running for state attorney general.  His race for the primary was complicated by last minute allegations from his former partner, Karen Monahan, that he had abused her.  Like in the Kavanaugh case, Ms. Monahan told healthcare workers about the abuse after she had left the relationship.  No witnesses have come forward to corroborate her claim that Ellison abused her.  Given that as a Democrat I want to see a Democrat elected attorney general of my state, should I vote for Ellison?  Why or why not?

I didn't say you shouldn't vote for Ellison. In the little I've read about it - the MSM like to cover charges against Republicans much more - the thing that stands out is she says she has video showing abuse. Unless witnesses come out in the meantime, personally I'd reserve judgment until she shows the video.

She's more credible than Ford in that she didn't let 30 years go by before talking about it. However, I don't like the way she actually points out that she has told health care professionals about it. Seems a little sketchy.
