Here in Michigan they are running an anti Brian Schuette advert.
I really don't give a rat's ass about the guy - and I will not be voting for him.
But - the advertisment is an insult to the intelligence of the voter, while at the same time pandering for their vote.
In the typical ominous droning of the political advert - the announcer goes on about how Brian Schutte screwed up in the Flint water crisis and "He ignored 15 complaints over a 2 year period".
Now - they don't say " criminal complaints, or "civil complaints" -- just " complaints". ( If it was legal complaints, he would have had a bench warrant signed out against him for contempt of court).
Now I' m no expert on such things - but I'm willing to bet most politicians receive ast least 15 complaints on a typical day - before lunchtime..
Over 2 years? 15 complaints? That's less than one a month.
With that little bitching going on, you' d assume everything was going along swimmingly.
These people need better ammo than that if they really want to win elections.
