Yeah, I've noticed our resident conservatives tend to project a lot. Alpha male even defended politicians telling lies and being hypocrites by claiming that both sides do it, so, presumably it's okay when one side or the other does it. I don't know whether both sides do it in equal measure. It wouldn't surprise me if they did. I've recently been corrected when I asserted that Democrats don't engage in shameless gerrymandering. They do. But it is remarkable how quickly conservatives reach for the excuse that the other side does it, so it's okay for them to do it as well. That seems like obvious projection, rooted in a lack of personal insight. Maybe not, but it seems a typical conservative kneejerk reaction for conservatives to attribute mores to Democrats that they themselves accept uncritically.

Alpha male appears to have quit the forum as a result of disgust over his treatment in the thread about the left being "unhinged mobs." Neo has been lurking as recent as yesterday, but he's been silent since I berated him for misrepresenting me on the 17th. Roadrunner has been silent since the 18th. Huggy, for his part, is busy being wrong about an NDE in another thread. I don't offhand know of any other openly jack-booted conservative thugs on the forum. There's onlinebiker, who I don't believe has weighed in, but the usual conservative voices have all appeared to have fallen silent.

What i find even funnier is all of a sudden there the party of due process despite having a rather checkered record on that remember Trump wanted to condemn the The Central Park Five without due process .
