Traitors, by definition, are not good.  Clarke is a traitor, therefore he is not a good dissenting voice, no matter what you think.

This is an opinion.  Everyone has them, and they hold limited value to you and whoever you can convince of your position.  He could say you're a traitor for turning on American citizens without legal cause.  Would that make you a traitor?

1. Descent to what ?

2. There is no such thing as "real America " all America is real America

3. That's a stereotype of America

America isn't love it or leave it

Nope it's the boss if your in charge the actions of your subordinates reflects on your leadership and the idea your comparing what that asshole did to a Mc Donald's is absurd . He knew full well what they were doing he just didn't care and if he didn't he's an idiot who shouldn't be in charge of anything .

And that's an issue why . He showed he's a douche and was cast out because of it .

Exactly my thought.  If he doesn't love it, then plenty of other countries that will accept him as one of their own.

Paying taxes = Citizenship?

Where do people come up with these things?
Paying taxes is part of the social contract

I paid taxes when I was in Germany.  Does that make me a German citizen?
I paid taxes in Italy.  Does that make me an Italian citizen?
I paid taxes in France. Does that make me a French citizen?
Etc...

I may have been bound to their laws to a reasonable extent, but aside from that, I was just there for business or pleasure.

I said social contract not citizen

And note the word "Part" in my original comment . Their is more to it then that. But it's a condition of being a citizen .

I wish people would stop throwing that word around.  Simply because Clarke is a moral troglodyte with all the compassion of a honey badger having an exceptionally bad day doesn't make him a traitor.

Fair enough, but irrelevant to the conversation.  We're defining "real American."

Whew, THAT'S a relief!  I was worried that you might find it unacceptable - such rejection could only send me into a tailspin of despair from which I might never recover.

Hopefully not.  Maybe relax a bit.  I was agreeing with you, but they're not the only "Real Americans."
