Look, I think he just adds a good dissenting voice.

Traitors, by definition, are not good.  Clarke is a traitor, therefore he is not a good dissenting voice, no matter what you think.

This is an opinion.  Everyone has them, and they hold limited value to you and whoever you can convince of your position.  He could say you're a traitor for turning on American citizens without legal cause.  Would that make you a traitor?

I paid taxes in Italy.  Does that make me an Italian citizen?
I paid taxes in France. Does that make me a French citizen?

I may have been bound to their laws to a reasonable extent, but aside from that, I was just there for business or pleasure.

I wish people would stop throwing that word around.  Simply because Clarke is a moral troglodyte with all the compassion of a honey badger having an exceptionally bad day doesn't make him a traitor.
