My beliefs arent a thing of choice but what i feel compelled to (or not to) accept based on the evidence accessible to me. Tell him this, CDF47, and tell him that this is a matter of intellectual honesty for me. If you're looking to witness via the web it's usually best to go in forums and chat rooms that aren't about religion or religious/atheist debate. There's lots of empty people out there look in something to fill them, they think they'll find in finding someone to flrirt with in a chat room or they post pictures of themselves in forums for attention, those people need Christ, and many times they will listen.

And this is it, the most honest, but at the same time most revealing and most disgusting post of them all. This is predation, pure and unfiltered preying on the unsuspecting and maybe vulnerable. Shame on who said that, for having shed all his humanity to become something so despicable.

I use the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) forums I post at to get God's Word out to them whenever the opportunity arises. I also include Intelligent Design and Word of God information in my signature in the MMA forums I post at. So I agree that is a really good idea and opportunity to preach God's Word.

Yeah I noticed that as well. And some who only claimed to hang around the personal issues & support section of TTA. They probably thought they were trying to help but in fact they were sharking those who were most vulnerable.

It isn't.  There's an exception to the necroposting rule, and this thread fits into it very nicely:

At the end of September, Seth decided to close the Thinking Atheist discussion forum.  He wanted to do it in just a couple days, but then relented and gave us a week.  He would not allow us to copy the forum to a new location and continue it as it was, so Mathilda took the initiative and created the Atheist Discussion forum.

Many of TTA's previous members immediately signed up for the new forum and we are now continuing our discussions pretty much as before.  Some came here instead, and some like me started posting regularly at both forums.  Unfortunately we lost a few members, like Jennybee and Momsurroundedbyboys for instance.

That was the thing.  It was his forum and he had every right to shut it down but to do it so fast with no explanation was incredibly inconsiderate to the many members that were active there.  To do it second-hand without even bothering to post something himself was a cowardly slap in the face to everybody involved.  To do it so callously after his commenting more than once how important it was to develop community between atheists and to provide outlets for people trapped in religious surroundings was hypocritical.
