Atheists can count their blessings too

RE: Atheists can count their blessings too
Am I blessed because it's always the same old shit? All I know is that I'd be plenty pissed if it was different new shit.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I have a dog and a woman who love me, good friends, a steady job, a roof over my head and food on the table (not really, we mostly eat on the couch). I don't spend as much time as I should reflection on how good I have it.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

I want to know what’s going right for you. What makes you happy? What gives you hope? What’s that boost you needed to help you get through the day?

I try to tell myself five things I'm grateful for every single day. It may be small things like, "I'm glad I have comfortable shoes to wear" or big things like, "I'm grateful that I am in good health." Either way, I try to list five things every single day that I have gratitude for.
If you're frightened of dying, and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the Earth.

I'm going to have foot surgery as soon as I can schedule it with my provider. The good news is that it's going to cost me about $90, total for surgery and meds copays. Meds will be $40 or so. Then, I'm going to be hobbling on crutches for weeks, unless I can get one of those cool scooters.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Living in Oz, the list of things for which I'm grateful is long.

This minute: I'm grateful that it is a beautiful day.

I'm grateful thatI have a comfortable retirement and  my overall health is pretty good. IE right now, nothing is hurting and almost everything still works without chemical assistance.

I am grateful that my 92 year old mum is still here, and with most of her marbles.

I'm grateful that I have three siblings and they are all talking to me.

Mostly, this minute, I'm grateful for my Jack Russell, even though this is the first time I've had a dog who is smarter than me.

I'll post a photo once I work out how.

Wow $90! That’s great news. I hope everything goes well!

Both of my older kiddos made the honor roll this 9 weeks and my kindergartener is doing great as well. I am super grateful to have smart, kind, wonderful children.

I lucked out and accidentally discovered that the Bluray writer I was testing wasn't actually a Bluray writer, prompting me to go looking for the actual writer that I thought it was. I had two bites at the apple with regard to the new blank discs being writable by one of my drives and the second bite was the clincher. The first try was basically pointless as the first candidate writer is basically broken and had about zero chance of succeeding. If I'd remembered that, I'd have been more pessimistic about finding a match between the new media and a writer. Thankfully though, despite my brainfarts, it worked out well.
