Quote:I have no questions for you. I would just like you to post this statement in your questionnaire responses:
If there was a medal for Most Respected Member you would be my #1 choice every time. Your posts are interesting, poignant, researched and well-stated, and I wish mine had half the panache that you regularly deliver in yours.
Excellent AF member and now MOD.
You guys are making me blush, really. I'm supposed to keep your identity anonymous but I think I can say that you hold your own nicely in your exchanges and have plenty to offer as well.
Also, I've done a lot of reflection lately in my haitus from posting on YouTube and where some of my weaknesses may be. I think I'm getting past my angry phase as an activist. I still feel it. It's hard not to in a country were religion is so dominant and you become aware of all the waste, stagnation, ignorance, bigotry and misery that religion promotes. But we are seeking to promote reason so I tell myself that I should practice what I preach. Also, I think some of my stronger moments in debates and posts have been where I have managed to keep a cool head. Philhellenese and Andromeda's Wake are two role models I'm seeking to emulate.
Quote:If you had to choose between the two most popular ideals -- world peace and [ending] world hunger -- which would you choose and why?
World peace because I think that once this is achieved, solving the other problem would follow.
