Warren DiMartini is a damn good guitarist. It's the pinched nut vocals that make hair metal cringeworthy.

Which songs illustrate his proficiency?
I can't get passed Pearcy's voice. But I just saw a Gieco commercial with RATT that was quite funny.
Look up his solos. One of the few to get speed through a 4 note per string technique. I don't mind Round n Round so much. It was a popularized part of the turn away from blues based rock to influences from prog bands and heavy players like Iommi and Blackmore.
He has a solo career, or is there a particular solo I should be on the lookout for?
Ratt was pretty.good.
Saw them at the Cow Palace in 84 or 85..... |
