If only we could figure out a way for them to just infect one another...

And the Democrats currently have plans to go ahead with their own convention. Why isn’t that ‘really fucking frightening’ as well?

Stay inside when you can and when you go out wear a mask and maintain social distancing. If the WHO is right and  Covid-19 is with us forever I can imagine that mud rooms will be converted to decontamination rooms and we will all create self contained suits that prevent contact of any kind.

It would be wonderful in a perfect world that the stupid couldn't affect you. This virus isn't a human and it kills Democrats too.

"R" and "D" are not separate planets or galaxies. Republicans and democrats work side by side in everyday jobs. And even families can be politically diverse. Those 50,000 that show up will have liberal friends, liberal family members and liberal co  workers. I wish it were that simple, but it is not.

The nurse who took care of my late mother voted for Trump. I will say however in her case, she realized her mistake and is absolutely furious at how he has handled his job. My late mother herself, was a 99% lifetime voting Republican. But even she put her foot down with Trump and ended up voting for Bernie in the primaries in 16.

My best friend from Oklahoma is a liberal Democrat, his father is far right socially conservative Republican. He loves his dad very deeply despite their differences.

I blame Trump more than I blame his supporters. He knows better but doesn't care whom he cons or hurts or the needless divisions he causes.

His base is too far gone for sure. But people like my nurse friend and my best friends dad, while they lean right, are not bat shit nuts terrorists.

If I went to visit John in Oklahoma and met his dad, his dad would barbecue for me, and treat me well. John however would insist we not bring up politics.

You have the biggest "Me" monster I've ever seen! You have an enormous grasp on the obvious; thanks for pointing it out. Here is another obvious point that I'll point out. If they go out and ignore safety concerns and I practice the best known methods for being safe I will survive and they won't.

Um no, if they ignore safety protocol they'll be at higher risk, if you follow safety protocol you'll be at lower risk. "Low risk" doesn't mean 0 risk. I still go to the grocery store, everyone has to eat. But when I am there I see tons of idiots getting to close to me, and a store manager that doesn't care to limit the amount of customers.

Just like driving a car. You can do all the right things like obeying the speed limit, keeping your distance behind people, wearing your seatbelt, not drinking and driving. Then one night you get a green light at an intersection, you start to go through and BAM! A giant Ford F-150 runs a red light because the driver is drunk, and speeding, and T bones you. Nexting you know  you are in the hospital.

People ignoring safety protocol can still spread it to you without you knowing. It is great that you do listen and do the right things, it does help. But isn't 100% foolproof.
