[Quranic Reflection]: moon absorbed by the sun in the Quran: far future.

If I were you, I wouldn't go around accusing others of doing things "just to make it look like they knew what the fuck they were talking about." (paraphrase)

Earth will never stop spinning:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/quora/2016/...9efdc2eb7d

Quote:The Earth will never stop rotating. Earth rotates in the purest, most perfect vacuum in the whole universe—empty space. Space is so empty, so devoid of anything to slow the Earth down, that it just spins and spins, practically without friction. The moon sloshing our oceans saps the tiniest amount of energy from our spin, as does space dust. But these effects are really trivial.

And, as long as it rotates, there will always be a side on which the moon is visible and brightens with the brightness of the sun, and a side on which it doesn't matter because the sun is not visible at all. Exactly why did you think this was at all relevant? At the end of the day, in spite of this tidbit you pulled from nowhere, including the earth continuing to spin, when the Sun goes, the moon, will brighten when visible, and when not visible it won't matter because it's not visible, and you predicting that the moon will darken rather than brighten is wrong, and your claim that the Quran interpreted a specific way is right will still be wrong....

All in spite of this latest gem of yours.

It's not impossible for something that completely contradicts the standard model to exist. Especially if God exists - for whom there are good arguments,, and we don't need models.

We can show the existence of things without providing complete models. Everyone knows gravity exists, but no good model was around until Einstein came along.
Einstein?

More proof you don't know what you are babbling about.

And who discovered General Relativity? You, by any chance?

So Mohammed's first wife was a Muslim and taught Mohammed Islam? Go figure.

Since when is a fairytale a fact? It’s clear from the Quran's many Biblically derived stories that Judaism greatly influenced Islamic theology. The story of Noah’s ark appears in sura 10; Jonah and his whale in sura 37. The patriarch Abraham appears in many suras. And Moses figures prominently throughout the Quran, with his confrontation with Pharaoh retold numerous times.

Muhammad almost certainly didn’t read these rabbinic texts, but he is likely to have heard them expounded by rabbis from the three powerful Jewish tribes of Medina, the Banu Nadir, Banu Qaynuqa, and Banu Qurayza. The Quran's account reads like a retelling of the story by a man who has listened to it attentively.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Newton's model for gravity was very good. Einstein's was better.
