Ledo, I've done the same thing before, but then you always have that one which wants to know ALLLLLL about it...I've been to a few in the past as a guest of one of the members (Friend of mine). It was actually for a gay couple that was wanting to get married. Wasn't a legal marriage unfortunately, but it was great and I had a great time...
binny, Ledo's suggestion is not a bad one to give, just do your homework (Past, Present etc.) I believe the membership is 200-300 per person per year, but well worth it in my book...
Just keep in mind of that "One" person that likes to ask a lot of questions. .It's usually the one that judges everyone of why people aren't all flocking to her church.....

I agree with pretty much everyone here, don't bring it up unless you are asked. But if you are asked, don't lie about it because otherwise it will seem like you are ashamed of being an atheist- and its nothing to be ashamed of!

I'm actually in the same boat. I go to a Christian youth group (for social reasons) and they have no idea i'm a memeber of an atheist forum! When they asked me once if i believe in God i had to resort to the old i'm confused about God and left it at that. I ussually just keep my head down and stay quiet when they pray. I'm fine about the believing in God so I'm not goig to say anything to them but i can't help thinking that church would be so much fun if God wasn't involved!

I always leave my head up and look around during prayer to see who else is doing the same thing.

That's funny Ledo, I do the same exact thing....I went to my cousins wedding last week. It of course was done in her church.
I noticed when it was time for the prayer, there were about 10 or 11 heads still up looking around while the rest of the sheep were grazing as usual.....

I noticed the professional folks from India don't bow their heads during Jesus time.
