I got in some good swearing today. Bought a new computer- "All-in-One". The monitor is a lot bigger that that of my 11 year old laptop, which was flaking out on some keys. I spilled a glass of water and some slopped on my brand new keyboard. There was a fair amount of ionization in the air, none related to the 3V of the keyboard. Turned it upside down and shook the few droplets out, and it's all good. Everything that would normally reside in a box with a desktop sits on the backside of the monitor. I got the internet set up, but need to wait for my son to come home for lunch so he can show me how to copy the music over. It's about 50 Gigs and I only have a 32 Gig thumb. But he knows a way to drag the whole magilla over in one swell foop. I can wait.

Working on closing up the house and figuring out how I'm going to load two people, a large dog, and too much stuff in our Kia.

I don't want to leave my truck parked outside unattended for six months, so cleared space in the garage and made sure I could get it in the garage, close the door and get it out. Without moving our trailer, the Kia is a fairly tight squeeze width wise, the truck body is 9" wider and still fit as long as I went in slightly diagonally. Without moving my workbench, there's just enough room to close the garage door with a about an inch of clearance front and back.

Watching the news. I heard earlier that Schumer gave a hard 'no' on raising the debt ceiling through reconciliation. I can't wait for 2022 when all the past year of Republican nonsense comes home to roost.

Trying to figure the best way to attach a toggle clamp to an aluminium extrusion.

Sussed it. Drill, tap, and bolt a plate to the extrusion, then bolt the clamp to the plate.

I’m helping a kid in the neighbourhood get started in woodworking. Right now, we’re building him a table saw.

Took two tries but was finally able to get my hair braided in such a way that it doesn't look like I asked one of the dogs to do it for me.

I like to braid it after I wash it and let it dry so it has some wave in it but it's getting so long that it's a challenge.
