What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Watching a post-game recap show. Vikings won today.

Starting a big batch of chili in my new, 10-quart slow cooker to cook overnight.

I tried something different tonight. Instead of ground peppers and canned jalapenos, I added two serrano peppers, with seeds, four fresh jalapenos, two Anaheim peppers, and a dash of cayenne.

The next meeting of my philosophy group is discussing beauty. That sounds like fun.

Watching Sunday Night Football. I know how it ends, but that's okay. I'm not in a great mood, so I'll save the games I haven't seen for when I am.

Trying to consume fluids...as much as I can, I have to go back to the doctor's office later in hopes they can get three little tubes of blood out of me to run tests. That's after I go for a couple chest X-rays at 11.

The bruise left from yesterday's attempt to draw blood is pretty gruesome. I see Boda frequently mention donating plasma...I can't even give enough blood for some simple tests. UGH.

My wife, same problem, she tells them to use pediatric gauge needles. When they don't it never turns out well.

When I used to donate regularly I'd windmill.: https://hemaware.org/mind-body/tips-and-...blem-veins

Good luck.

I hate having such crappy veins. I got over the fear years ago and just sigh and put up with it. But I hate it.

Butterfly needles are always what they have to use but it's still likely the vein will collapse before the tube(s) fill up.

Two more sticks and they finally got blood...however, I went to an imaging place to get a chest X-ray done. Had an appointment, filled everything out online...half an hour past my appt. I was still waiting. I had seen exactly one patient leave the place. This is the second time I have been there and it's apparently their usual manner of tending to patients to must have an appointment, and show up early, and fill out paperwork. So, yeah...buh bye.

Doctor sent orders to a different place after I had the blood drawn...drove straight there. No X-ray tech available for an hour. At this point my lungs can just fall the fuck out.

Just finished doing a bit of dusting and straightening of my bookshelves in my room at home. I got a whole house to clean since autumn is finally here and it is cool enough to actually do more things. Now I am relaxing on my laptop checking out the forums of my fellow heatherns. After that I am playing one of my games on Steam, possibly Builders of Egypt: Prologue.

Just got home from donating plasma. I've got a cabbage and hot Polish sausages, but I picked up a 28 oz readymade meatloaf on the way home, so that will be dinner.
