I can think of a lot of worse places to be exiled.
I love Sydney, but wouldn't live there on a bet. If I couldn't live here in Adelaide, I'd probably live in Canada (mum was Canadian and I've been there a couple of times) Or England ; spent a bit of time there and loved it before that bleached blond bloke with the cultivated scruffy look was put in charge. London is my favourite city, but I'd probably live somewhere like Cambridgeshire.
I'm from Sydney but home is Melbourne.
That's where I went to Uni, where I have my house, and where I intend to return

Boru
I googled him, Dick Pole came up in the same search.

Loath and loathe mean two different things. Loath applies in the context of reluctance to do something in the phrase "He was loath to do ___" whereas loathe does not.

That makes sense. I've always loved Melbourne. Was there for work in 1966. Lived in a boarding house at Richmond. Was poor but didn't know it. Too busy having a good time, the joint was jumping. 'Holes-in-the-wall-with-music' where everywhere, plus some of the big places such as Mod Mentone. My favourite place was The Thumpin' Tum. Little Burke St I think. I especially remember The Levi Smith's Clefs , with the wonderful Tweed Harris. Also Renee Gayer I think. For my money, the most original band to come out of Melbourne at that time was The Loved Ones. A badly unappreciated group imo.
Sorry, didn't mean to go down that rabbit hole.
My baby sister has lived in Melbourne for over 40 years. Right now she hates it because of the Cov19 restrictions

That Clint Eastwood, never been a fan obviously, was quite attractive in his younger days.

Well, I certainly have lot more respect for my computer router. Pretty confident that I will be able to fix this specific router if it misbehaves again. On another router, perhaps not so much.? Very glad to have saved myself around $400 for a decent new one.
The router I have is an Asus, which was very cheap at the time and recommended as a cheap version of their top router, and pretty good. Yesterday I learned that ASUS no longer offers support for this model and issue no new firmware..

No Nut November is an internet challenge revolving around abstinence, in which participants abstain from masturbation, sex and orgasming during the month of November.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Isn't that encouraging the nuts?
