Covid 19 conspiracies dump
RE: Covid 19 conspiracies dump
Yes, people have done a LOT of horrible shit in the name of Islam. And due to the nature of the text (let's face it, there's as much blatant contradiction in the Quran as there is in the Bible), it's also easy to find Muslims who not only disavow any and all of those bad things, but can probably find and cite some sura and verse about why what they did is against Allah's will. Maybe if there's some event so horrific that any and all moderates decide to abandon ship, but that hasn't happened yet for Islam.

And at no point have I ever said that it's unacceptable to own anything with a Confederate flag on it. The issue is what it means to display it in public and what it ends up saying about the person doing it.

More or less unacceptable than you enjoying your white supremacist fan fiction? I notice you're a free man. We've all learned to put up with your respective love for shitty fairy tales - but, unfortunately, this is a lesson that the islamists and white supremacists have not learned, always threatening some bloody rahowa on the great satan. At some point, you just have to throw your hands up and give them what they want. A shitty pointless death at the hands of nonplussed federal troops.

That's how this ends, in all places and at every point in history.

Besides, it's all tyranny against the poor suffering white man anyway. How else could it end?

Some event so horrible? Is 9/11 less horrible than Dylan Roof? Events change nothing whatsoever. This is a narrative that the media fed to you that you bought into for some reason, because you didn't want to be seen as a bad guy. If another 9/11 happens and I start saying that it's unacceptable for Muslims to own a Quran or to wear the crescent and star because of that new 9/11, that's not me making sense. That's me being a bigot and thinking emotionally rather than with reason, and you're using this exact same logic on the stars and bars. You're using the exact logic the white nationalists are using. How can you not see this? And how do you know that "all of the reasonable people" have abandoned the stars and bars? Because you've decided that if they keep it up, they are by definition unreasonable.

Most Muslims don't do any of the practices he points to nor any of those practices required to be a Muslim and the Quran was written in a time were practices like those were common by contrast the Confederacy's idealogy was already out of step with most of the western world so they don't get the same excuse. So his comparison is silly.

Lol he makes another false comparison the Quran and Cresent moon have nothing inherently to do 9/11 Dylan's's Roof action have everything to do the core idealogy of the flag he venerated

This symbol has been used by peaceful groups and by vile groups

This book is the same and its worst elements have been debated for centuries

[Image: images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR__S13PMP-7tNCNXU1GY3...A&usqp=CAU]
This symbol has only one legacy and has only one idealogy attached to it and it isn't one worth venerating

The wost elements of Islam don't make Islam

The worst elements of the Confederacy WAS the Confederacy

Plus it's a historical mistake to compare Islam to the Confederacy anyway. ISIS or al Qaeda were fringe extremists group WITHIN Islam that any action taken by those groups can be separated from Islam itself. The Confederacy was one block with a unified central idealogy written into law and practice and can't be divorced from those foundations. In other words

If it isn't pro-slavery and white supremacist it isn't the confederacy

If it isn't pro-terrorism it can still be Islam

True, which is why I'm not against taking in Muslim migrants and I'm against discrimination based on religion. You know what's also true? Most people who fly the stars and bars don't shoot up black churches or own slaves.

I'm well aware that 9/11 was a response to American aggression and I don't blame Islam for it. A flag was not to blame for what Dylann Roof did either. He was fucked in the head so he went and killed a bunch of people. Let's put the subject of Islamic terrorism aside and just focus on the homophobia aspect of it. Under Islamic law, homosexuality is not allowed, and you know what the punishment can be or has been. So yeah, Islamic texts are fucked. The Christian texts are fucked. The Jewish texts are fucked. The confederacy was fucked. I'm not telling you to venerate the flag. But like you acknowledged, symbols and religious texts pretty much mean a different thing to each person you ask. A person can be liberal, black, or whatever, and since they were raised to think the flag was about southern pride, that's how they've always seen it. It's the same thing as having a gay Muslim, or a liberal Muslim, or a progressive Muslim. You just need people to hate because you get off on hate in a very similar way that the white nationalists do. It's an addiction for you, and you love to hate. It's brings you joy, and you couldn't live without it.

You know what else is true you can't compare Islam to the Confederacy so this whole comparison falls apart

Nope

You can interpret religion and its symbols and texts and even laws  in multiple ways (that includes homosexuality in Islam which by the way WASN'T always not allowed or even punished)

You Can't fly the Confederate flag and divorce it for the evil it symbolized without lying or performing mental acrobatics. It has an objective historical context directly linked to a specific group and its idealogy it's not up to personnel interpretation

And nope it's got nothing to do with hate I just don't care for whitewashing hate symbols and pretending their not hate symbols.

The Confederacy is like ISIS if ISIS created a totally unique flag and it wasn't just them highjacking an Islamic symbol. Nobody could divorce that flag from the specific views of ISIS no matter how much revisionism they tried.

The Confederacy is not like Islam as Islam is a million groups throughout history who had radically different views on Islam and its texts, customs, laws, etc.

Ones open to interpretation the other is not  Dodgy

Yup revisionism "it's heritage not hate ....LOL

Oh and just because some non-white people buy this revisionist BS doesn't make it not revisionist BS
