RE: Popping my head in for a sec
Oh, it doesn't matter. That whole crew has the same line of shit....

"Bible...bible....bible...bible....."

Tiresome in short order.

Most definitely. Starting arguments and then playing the victim is my favorite. "I reject your ideas!" "I reject yours too." "Bully!" blahdifuckingblah

Followed by walking out (voluntarily!) when things get too uncomfortable and then whining about being banned/oppressed/persecuted... or is that an unfair generalisation?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Nothing really, unless you ruin them with packet gravy.

We call them 'scones. The traditional way to eat them is with strawberry jam and thick, fresh, real cream. (not that shit you get in a can)

I actually make killer scones. The secrets; handle the mix as little as possible. Do NOT knead. Scones should be WET when they go into a hot oven.

Quote:The scone is a small Scottish quick bread especially popular in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,Belgium and Ireland, but are also eaten in many other countries. They are usually made of wheat, barley or oatmeal, with baking powder as a leavening agent. The scone is a basic component of the cream tea or Devonshire tea.

The difference in pronunciation is alluded to in the poem which contains the lines:
"I asked the maid in dulcet tone
To order me a buttered scone
The silly girl has been and gone
And ordered me a buttered scone."

I was invited back to the forum by an E-mail I recieved. It was probably compuer generated but it was a goo time to ask if this baning thing is still in effect. I can see that it isn't.

Quote:So no Adrian. I won't put up with you or people with your attitude. It's fortunate that you and those with your attitude aren't dominant on scientific forums or circles.

I was right the first time. This is not a good place to discuss anything. I'll leave permanently now.
When I said "permanently it was with the assumption that I'd never an e-mail asking me to drop. To me, even though I knew it was computer generated, I took the opportunity to see if I'd be welcomed back. Seems that is the case. Thanks folks!

So, you weren't banned? You just left. At any rate, I'm sure you'll do fine.

N quite exactly. That wasn't the whole exchange. I was told that I cannot post here if I use that word and since I don't allow people to tell me what I can or cannot write i a forum I saw no option but to leave.

This is teh e-mail message the Atheist Forums Staff
sent to me (as it was signed)
Quote:Dear Pete,

According to our records you registered at atheistforums.org and began posting, but you don't seem to have been active for over a month! This is just a quick email to say: WE MISS YOU!

It's true, we really do miss you. We even created this specially automated email just for you in order to lure you back! It's entirely up to you, but we'd love it if you started posting again, and we won't even hold your prolonged absence against you!

Best regards and hope to see you soon,

-Atheist Forums Staff
In any sense let us forget that and not dwell on whether I was told not to do one thing or another for one reason or another. Oherwise this thread will go off topic, i.e. I thought I wasn't welcome here for using the term evolutionists

Not so. I came to a point in my life where I wan to study Christianity and atheism or something related to it. I.e. a question I might ask would be What do you think about multiverse and cosmological fine tuning?. I'll start another thread after I answer on another board.

Best wishes,

Pete

I'm not dwelling on it; I am clarifying. If there was more to the exchange, why is it not in thread? All I see is you saying you were leaving. I don't see anyone telling you that you have to leave if you use a certain word. The reason I am keeping up with this is that I do not want members to think that they might be banned for using the term evolutionist. You were not banned, as far as I can see. I'm pretty sure I can actually check the banning logs to verify that. You left of your own accord and are now back, which is all well in good. I would simply thank you not to misrepresent the manner of your leaving by misrepresenting the staff here, if such is the case.

I am aware of the email you received. It is automated. It says so right in the text.
