Working on Tomb Raider 1 remastered. The controls took some getting used to, but it's the game that I remember playing. It's held up surprisingly well.

I figured playing BG1-2 might give me a better appreciation for the third game.

And I slightly recall someone here informing me, a long time ago, that I should play BG.

Tried bard for a whole minute.

Apparently, much like the first DA game, archer is the way to go.

Older games were annoying. You needed a quiver before you could use a bow.

Beginning to think I'm not going to be able to play BG1&2. Twelve hours spent in character creation, minimal gameplay, to learn there's just too much stress and headache involved in making a decent character. Can't be a melee fighter because I run the risk of my iron weapon breaking. Can't be an archer because I get penalized for not equipping a melee weapon. Can't be a magic user because it's just too complicated. Goodness, gracious, how did anyone like these games back then.

With all that said, I guess bard (shortbow and quarterstaff) is the best for me.

Installing Hellblade 1 and Hellblade 2 on the PC. They're both Game Pass titles and the XBOX Series S reportedly struggles with Hellblade 2. A Youtube benchmark of hardware similar to my PC appears to manage okay on low settings.
