On my trip this morning to and from the office I went through everything from sprinkles to downpours.  The sideways lightning was interesting.  The worst part was that the whole trip was lights and sirens...the police, EMTs, and firemen were everywhere.  Just glad I made it there and back unscathed.

My rain-gauge (the bed of my pickup truck) collected about 1.5" of water in that hour. Fortunately, I'd already finished my errands for the day. Boomer came overhead about twenty minutes after stowing groceries, and hit hard.

Waited on the tarmac in Casper, WY until the ground stop at Denver cleared. Turbulent to Denver. Three hour layover, then delayed after every lightning strike within 3 miles of said airport. Finally got rolling and turbulence most of the way to CA. Shit, I'm tired- got about 4 hours of sleep. Looking forward to clear skies this morning when I go get my hand cut on purpose.

It was beautiful yesterday, so of course it's raining today. I spent a lot of time washing and detailing my 2000 S-10 p/u last Sunday, so I'm not going anywhere today, it stays parked in the garage until it's dry again.
Typical PNW weather for May.
