When I'm practicing/playing (read butchering some poor simple tune like "Wild Thing"), I don't give a fuck what else is going on in the world. The joy is all consuming.

Been trying to work out when we can get together for the upcoming holidays. Adding The Bail's school and work adds another layer to what we can work with - especially since school and work are a couple hour's drive away.

Plan for now is Thanksgiving here on the day after as bonus granddaughter, friend, and her mom have plans for that Saturday (the original plan).

Christmas Eve may actually happen on Christmas Eve though a bit later than in the past. Suggested just doing both on one day but older daughter said NO. After sharing her birthday with her sister for years, we can't combine things like birthdays and holidays. I didn't know that was a rule.

May also piss off son as we are seriously considering Taco Tuesday for Christmas Eve dinner. We have never done a traditional meal anyway.

Next year I may have to lock up the house and turn off my phone long about October. Sheesh.
