Yeah, I was complimenting, not complaining. Smile

Boru

And it's a compliment well-earned. I think a few of the Roberts court's decisions will be viewed by historians as badly as Dred Scott or Plessy.

It's almost as if he thinks no one but a judge is capable of reading and understanding the Constitution.
He simply doesn't understand that the only person destroying his reputation is himself.

Well, that and the other conservatives on the Supreme Court. He couldn’t have gotten this far without them.

Don't the filthy plebs understand that the law means they can't have what they want, whatever that is?

If you want to rationalize your support of a strongman, you have to make sure regular democratic processes are ineffective in performing their intended functions.

Quote:To hear Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson tell it, it’s a “perilous moment for our Constitution.”

The Supreme Court’s most junior justice had pointed exchanges with her colleagues on the bench this term, increasingly accusing them of unevenly applying the law — even if it meant standing on her own from the court’s other liberal justices.

Jackson has had an independent streak since President Biden nominated her to the bench in 2022. But the dynamic has intensified this term, especially as litigation over President Trump’s sweeping agenda reached the court.

It climaxed with her final dissent of decision season, when Jackson accused her fellow justices of helping Trump threaten the rule of law at a moment they should be “hunkering down.”

“It is not difficult to predict how this all ends,” Jackson wrote. “Eventually, executive power will become completely uncontainable, and our beloved constitutional Republic will be no more.”

Her stark warning came as Trump’s birthright citizenship order split the court on its 6-3 ideological lines, with all three Democratic appointed justices dissenting from the decision to limit nationwide injunctions.

Jackson bounded farther than her two liberal colleagues, writing in a blistering solo critique that said the court was embracing Trump’s apparent request for permission to “engage in unlawful behavior.”

In a major victory for the Trump administration, the Supreme Court on Monday allowed it to fire thousands of Education Department employees, functionally eliminating the agency.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

It's all corruption - but that part is actually donald making good on a deal for once. The clerics on the bench are there to stop people bortin babies, and divert education funding to churches. They let him commit crimes and do racist shit, it's only fair they get their things too.

This is how we all know donald is the leader god appointed.
