I like the art and story, but I think I'll wait for the price to come down. Given that there's a sizable crew of haters, it shouldn't be long.

What are you all playing right now?

I discovered that Metaphor: Refantazio is on Game Pass. I was considering Final Fantasy VI, but I think I'll focus on that instead.

Looking at deckbuilders. I picked up Griftlands for XBOX for $8, which is strongly reviewed, and discovered that Monster Train 2 is on Game Pass, and I've already installed it. Doom: Dark Ages is also on Game Pass, and I installed that for a little holiday mayhem.
Regarding Steam, I'm going to grab Spiderman Remastered, but I'll wait until tomorrow or Saturday so that I have plenty of time to decide whether to keep it or not. I'm also going to pick up a couple more deckbuilders. Cobalt Core, which is like a cross between FTL and a deckbuilder. And Shogun Showdown, which is a more classic roguelike deckbuilder in the style of Slay The Spire and Across The Obelisk. I'm pondering a couple of sale items. The Persona Collection is only $10 more than Persona 5 Royal alone, though, since I get Persona 4 Golden on Game Pass, as well as Metaphor ReFantazio, not to mention the Octopath games, it's not really much of a hole to fill. The more intriguing option is a Silent Hill F and Silent Hill 2 combo pack for the XBOX for $80. Given that SH f is $55 and SH 2 is $40, the combo for $80 is quite a good deal. The only things holding me back are that I've already spent quite a lot, and being newer games, they'll likely drop significantly in the next year. That and I'm not a big horror gamer, and Silent Hill f is the primary reason that I'd buy -- but that game is bound to drop significantly over time given how new it is, and that there's a considerably mixed reaction to the game. Anyway, I've got a few days to think. The one disappointment was Dune: Imperium, which sounds like a good game, right up my deckbuilding alley, but it's not on sale. ![]() ![]() Discovered that the Silent Hill combo pack is an XBOX Play Anywhere title, so I can play on either PC or XBOX or both without having to buy a second copy. ![]()
Playing the new content in AC: Mirage.

Been feeling like replaying AC: Valhalla, but I'd like to finish other games first. *sigh*

I can get a $100 trade-in on my old XBOX and 18-month financing on an XBOX Series X upgrade. I had thought of waiting until the next generation comes out, but Microsoft is squeezing XBOX customers like lemons, so it's only going to get worse.

As long as it took me to get a PS5, they better wait a while before releasing the next version of the console.

I've been playing the Resident Evil 2 Remake to see whether survival horror is a genre that I can get into. It's mostly running around looking to unlock new areas, solving puzzles, and doubling back to open up previously locked areas. The combat, such as it is, is the least of the gameplay. It's basically running around all over the place with an occasional survival scare.
