I seriously considered putting this one in the humourous things thread:

And, yes, they censored Dick van Dyke's first name.

The surprising thing is they didn't go all the way and censor his last name as well. I can only assume that Alison Bechdel has something to do with that.

On the set of the show, he was referred to as ‘Penis van Lesbian’ in good humour, and he took it as such.

There’s a story (probably apocryphal) that Hudson and Milton Berle - also rumoured to be gifted in the pants department - were at a party when a guest suggested they both whip ‘em to see who’s was bigger. Also at the party was Marilyn Monroe, who yelled out, ‘Oh, come on, Milt. Just take out enough to win.’
