Nothing wrong with prostitution. It SHOULD be regulated.... great source of govt revenue and as far as I can see will keep tabs on those righteous Republicans the Americans are saddled with...as for Strippers and Erotic Dancers..why not?!?!?! It is an art form and there sure as hell is a market for it.

Personally I think the stigmatisation is due to hypocritical persons (usually of the Republican and religious persuasion); and are the only complainers as they are the majority of the clientèle?


And yes sex is an art-form....good sex requires a great deal of thought put into practice.... otherwise it is just fucking and one could possibly get that from any animal

It's not more productive than lawyers, scientists and even carpenters. There is a saying that the world needs ditch diggers. The world needs prostitutes too. The world needs people who use their brains more than anything else. Again, no offense, but it hardly takes a rocket scientist to sell her vagina and it is deplorable to imagine a person who could contribute in such a way taking the lazy way out and selling herself for money. If she's horny, she can be a rocket scientist and have sex for free.

Try not having a vagina and mostly trying for straight men. In that case it's fucking hard to get it for free (it's not like I haven't tried since I got down here).

Again, I simply prefer better for my family. I assume none of you want your children to be strippers and prostitutes. I just said it.

Want as in actively desire that they take any job at all? I do not care.

Or want as in dislike the idea of my children being strippers or prostitutes? I also do not care.

They have a job? Cool, well done. They don't have a job? Cool, just don't ask me for anything that is not vital (I'll just volunteer it anyway, what am I kidding?).

I like that my parents let me go out into the world to learn about it for myself... and I'm extremely grateful to my mother and father for providing for me all these years, and extremely relieved that my mother gave me information I *needed* to know all throughout this year, and am further glad of her semi-frequent calls (within every 2 weeks).

And I'm sure they have opinions on what my job should be. But you know what? I'm fucking happy they don't constantly voice those to me. My father suggests ideas I could try, and I love him for it and value his counsel... but there is no nagging every time I tell them 'I haven't gotten a job'.

My parents aren't even 100% on board with my gender... the last thing I would want to do to my kids is to pretend I always know what job is best for them. At the end of the day... their job doesn't even matter. Whether it's dangerous to their life, their health, if it doesn't pay well, if it doesn't necessarily pay at all.

All that matters is that I love them (not my dream of them), respect their job choice (not the one I think they should have), and accept I raised them: if they don't have a clue by then... it's on me.

I am not offended whatsoever. I would like to say that I've decided that from what I know about you, I don't like you at all, Shell B. I think you're a rude, mean-spirited, snobbish hater of sorts. I don't get offended by those people, I psychoanalyze them, draw conclusions about their inner-workings and chuckle a bit, but I would have to give a shit what you think first in order to become offended.

If you find Shelly hard to deal with... I must be a freaking nightmare. Sliding into debates with a position nobody else has, interrupting the train of thought of anyone that doesn't have me on ignore, and then when I realize nobody is ever going to respond: troll one or both sides of the argument with snakiness and/or ridiculous and otherwise break up the intellectual dialogue?
