Shocking Blasphemy

Discworld - the only world known to exist where an elephant has to cock its leg to let the sun go past.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

In "The Science of Discworld", it's shown that the Wizards of Unseen University on Discworld - which we know to be carried on the back of the Great Turtle A'Tuin and his/her attendant elephants - accidentally create our Universe. Thus by extension they also create our planet, which they christen Roundworld precisely because of their observations that everything in our Universe is balls. So that blows your theory out of the sky, I'm afraid. No because your profile pic has a funny hat.
Which ought to add even more weight to my argument. "Trust me, I'm a preacher! And I have a funny hat!"

"Exactly why this should be may never be known. Possibly the Creator of the Universe got bored with all the usual axial inclinations, albedos and rotational velocities, and decided to have a bit of fun for once" 'Wyrd Sisters'-Terry Pratchett

It should have been 'witch' in that context because 'whiches' have sold themselves to Yazkinoth. To me it's clear that you can barely contain your heresy so you said 'which' by accident and revealed that you sold yourself to Yazkinoth. ((OOC: Anyway, I should go...))
The witches of Discworld are not exactly known for selling themselves to anything. If organising atheists has been likened to herding cats, getting witches to do anything they weren't going to do anyway would probably be like trying to eat Mount Everest, using New York skyscrapers for chopsticks. Granny Weatherwax, for example, would probably make your Yazkinoth wish it'd never been born; while Nanny Ogg would probably make fun of its genitals in some earthy pub folk singing.

The Landover Baptist Church is a Poe church
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful" - Edward Gibbon (Offen misattributed to Lucius Annaeus Seneca or Seneca the Younger) (Thanks to apophenia for the correction)
'I am driven by two main philosophies: Know more about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you' - Neil deGrasse Tyson "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain (April 2, 2012 at 2:44 pm)Gooders1002 Wrote: The Landover Baptist Church is a Poe church I'm not actually a member. I'd like to be and I support their message but their tithing requirements are too rich for my blood.
"You don't need facts when you got Jesus." -Pastor Deacon Fred, Landover Baptist Church
: True Christian is a Trademark of the Landover Baptist Church. I have no affiliation with this fine group of True Christians because I can't afford their tithing requirements but would like to be. Maybe someday the Lord will bless me with enough riches that I am able to. And for the lovers of Poe, here's your winking smiley: RE: Shocking Blasphemy

Are you admitting that you're parodying religion, or do you actually think that Landover Baptist Church is a real church? I admit, I used to think that it was real. If I could, a fundy easily could. Edit-- Hm, that sounds a bit arrogant of me. Whatever. Fundies are stupid. What falls away is always, and is near.
Also, I am not pretending to be female, this profile picture is my wonderful girlfriend. XD
