I have obtained Dragon Age 2 and it's OK so far. First PC game in which I have managed to maintain interest for more than 10 minutes. I'll persevere a bit longer.

Tried Halo and Alien Arena,boring.

Be grateful for suggestions for single player games which grab you immediately. (WIN 7 compatible)

I think part of the problem may be impatience and the fact that I'm on a steep learning curve. Gaming seems to a different world of the mind.

If you like shooters I enjoyed The Darkness II and Syndicate. The Dead Space series is also great.
