why not ask would i live by the rules of a western country that allows things like gay marriage and adoption, abortion, and all of the other things the video mentions??? Because that is what I am doing now!

Now I ask how does a life style change in your core beliefs any different in a forced change in my core beliefs? Other than the fact that i happen to live in the majority of my country who do not supports these beliefs and yet are being made to adopt them?

You mentioned a depart of critical thinking... It's funny how critical thinking has missed the obvious elephant in the room. It seems that "Critical thinking" is only mentioned when it supports a non christian life style.

Maybe I'm overtired but I genuinely couldn't understand much of what you wrote. I'll tackle it again when I've slept off my meds, ok?

One part I did pick up on was this obvious elephant in the room. Again, maybe it's due to my being overtired, but since it's not at all obvious to me, could you elucidate?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Lmao. They like to think there the majority. They are certainly not the majority they are an incredible small group who try to force there way into our politics and laws. If you watched the program you would see. I find it disturbing that a small group of extreme assholes have such influence over some of our politicians.

Because these laws give you the option to do something rather than forcing you to do one or the other. You don't have to have sex with the same sex then adopt and you don't have to have an abortion. The option is there to make the decisions based on your own views/sexual orientation/beliefs.

Yes indeed fundamentalists are almost non-existent in the UK, but are a very vocal and well funded (by Americans trying to export their brand of crazy) bunch.

As such they get undue attention and pandering too, a bit like extremist Muslims which their views closely resemble .

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Its like the gay marriage row going on here at the moment. The majority of people are supportive of the right for gay people to marry but the C of E decided to throw a tantrum. And its like I was just saying all the changes would offer is the choice for churches to decided if they want to perform same sex marriages they wouldn't be forced to do it.

Sorry to rehash this, but it's been several days now and I was promised a room elephant. Over to you, Drich.

Heres how this whole "forced to adopt" shit works Stimbo (if you don't mind me covering this for you of course Drich )

Of course no one is forcing fundamentalists to adopt a non-christian lifestyle..you know, like blowing other men or having an abortion...but sin can rub off by proximity...and nobody wants a repeat of Sodom and Gomorrah. You see, fundamentalists don't like the idea of being "forced" to even stand near a faggot, or a whore. Of course they aren't willing to put their goddamned feet where their mouth is and leave............ I've been wondering this for awhile actually...why don't the fundamentalists of the world invade some shithole together and set up a theocracy where they legislate away all the things that endanger their eternal servitude? Or at least move to some place where other, more dedicated fundies have already done so? Ah, that's right, because they can't fucking stand each other. They like us(non-fundies) a little bit more.

How did I do? You know, lets ignore for a moment that your groaning about what beliefs the "majority" share might just be innaccurate. Lets accept it at face value. The majority has a shitty idea, you know, like legislating the creation of a secondary citizen status, but hey..it's the majority isn't it...guess we have to go with it. Jerkoff

Honestly do you or your perfered way of life feel threatened?
yes absolutely. Those people want to turn back the clocks on equality and tolerance. They are by-and-large sexist, homophobic and insular, not to mention gullible and mistaken. And they want to insert their ways into other people's lives. I find it disgusting.

Thanks for the clarification, Rhythm. Maybe the fact that I'm not of the biased fundy mindset you describe is why it wasn't as obvious to me as it was supposed to be.
