RE: Hare Krishna
"If you don't find god you did it wrong" Jerkoff

It's not like I couldn't plug in any old garbage into that statement now is it....
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

(science isn't infallible btw, and last I checked it made no claims to that effect)

From the Bhagavad Gita:

BG 9.4: By Me, in My unmanifested form, this entire universe is pervaded. All beings are in Me, but I am not in them.

BG 9.5: And yet everything that is created does not rest in Me. Behold My mystic opulence! Although I am the maintainer of all living entities and although I am everywhere, I am not a part of this cosmic manifestation, for My Self is the very source of creation.

BG 9.6: Understand that as the mighty wind, blowing everywhere, rests always in the sky, all created beings rest in Me.

BG 9.7: O son of Kunti, at the end of the millennium all material manifestations enter into My nature, and at the beginning of another millennium, by My potency, I create them again.

BG 9.8: The whole cosmic order is under Me. Under My will it is automatically manifested again and again, and under My will it is annihilated at the end.

BG 9.9: O Dhananjaya, all this work cannot bind Me. I am ever detached from all these material activities, seated as though neutral.

BG 9.10: This material nature, which is one of My energies, is working under My direction, O son of Kunti, producing all moving and nonmoving beings. Under its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again.

Thus, knowing God is an entirely different type of experiment than, say, looking at small organisms under a microscope.

Which is a long winded way of saying, "no kind of experiment at all, and no I wont be reproducing it."

I asked you to support a claim, not provide me with another, longer list of claims. Is this the way our conversation is going to go?

Makes claim
"care to support that?"
makes more claims
"care to support those?"
makes more claims.

...sigh. It's turtles all the way down isn't it?

It is not, but it is way more reliable than anything religion has ever come up. And science deals exactly with things we can all do, given the methodology, and made predictions that resulted in practical ways.

I can show that objects of different weights fall at the same speed to anyone in this world. You can't show your god like that. And why whouldn't he let itself be seen??

Silly question that he's already answered LP. This god bullshit is free to jerry with any experiment, removing any constant as it wishes, subject to nothing, thereby eradicating any confidence that there might be had in any possible experiment designed to detect it's existence. AK just likes "sciencey sounding" shit, I guess he feels that it adds respectability or weight to his platitudes, though I can't understand why for the life of me, given his propensity for undermining "sciencey things"

This, is not a scientific statement. This is what you believe. I'm sure you really really sincerely believe it from the bottom of your heart, too. And I'm sure the gods of science really appreciate your faith and devotion. Angel Cloud

Great, so why not stick with that? Science can't talk about God. So why try?

You're comparing apples and oranges, dude. More like apples with the source of you, me, your consciousness, your perceptions, your weights, your ideas about experiments and science and truth and everything. You want God to fit in your little hand, but He doesn't. You may be one of His experiments, He doesn't have to show up for any of yours.

God fits in my hand just fine, sure, sometimes it takes both hands..because some authors are more productive than others.
(you're still going on about scientific statements -and you're still failing at that dismally-, but I don't understand why, didn't you rule that out awhile back?)

A 'god' is just a exaggeration of human qualities. If there is a man, there is a super man, hence, the superest of man also exists

Damn, where is that wank emoticon when you need it?

Just so we're clear - I'm fine with science. It's scientism that's ridiculous.
