World of Warcraft, now with more pandas
October 10, 2012 at 5:13 pm
I just wanted to see if anyone else here plays World of Warcraft and ask what you think of the new expansion.
My opinion? Changes to my character/class took a little getting used to, but I adapted without too much trouble. Grinding through those five extra levels in Pandaria take a long ass time and, damn, everything over there hits like a freakin' truck! I'm also having to watch out with any of my AoE because it's so incredibly easy to accidentally aggro several extra mobs like that (which seems to be a really easy way to get yourself killed).
Also, I miss flying.

I used to but it started to consume my life so I stopped, too addicting.

I don't think I'm gonna play it. GW2 takes up all my gaming time, and I can't afford to pay WoW's monthly fees
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I think Blizzard is intentionally killing WoW with it

People say that with every expansion. We're just resistant to change.

You don't say. I started to play WoW long after my bf, and every time when there was a patch update, his comment was: "Well, during the vanilla days..."

I used to play it with a dutch friend but got fed up doing all the end game gearing up and all that.
I was tempted to buy it again when I saw the new one in Game.

On the contrary, I much looked forward to BC, WotLK, and even Cata.
MoP? Sickens me.

Pssst. Tara. Don't look now but it looks like they added GIANT FUCKING PANDAS INTO THE GAME.
Thankfully I quit WoW long before this happened.
Seriously. No-one feels that might upset the atmosphere of the game alittle? Gearing up for a lord of the rings style raid, everyone ready to fight a huge boss to the death and in the background is a Jack Black impersonator eating eucalyptus?
Fuck. No.

And I played the original warcraft, and warcraft 2 (beyond the dark portal, as well), and warcraft 3 (the frozen throne, as well), and started towards the end of vanilla, and rocked out in BC, and went to town in frozen throne, and got my left ankles a'dancin for cata...
Mists of Pandaria can die in a fire. I respect that they wanted to turn the game away from Old Gods and worthless insanity plots (just a setback!), and back to WARcraft... but by adding the fucking Pandaren (a joke) as the primary selling point (and a playable race!) in the game?
Blizzard is laughing at itself, and I'm certain it's intentional. Titan(?) is coming, and they wish to ready the game for a massive launch. Two competing MMOs to handle fullscale at once? Goddamn nightmare. MoP is reducing to a skeleton crew, focus is full-force on next title.
